I learned long ago, never to wrestle with a pig. You get dirty, and besides, the pig likes it. – George Bernard Shaw
Leadership is a lifelong journey of learning. We’ve all learned our fair share of lessons from the school of hard knocks, but those lessons can be invaluable. One such lesson is how to pick your battles. There will be those who would like to drag you down and through the mud simply because they enjoy it. Good for them. But that doesn’t mean that you have to join them. Don’t fall in to the temptation to wrestle with the pigs. Keep your attitude positive, and keep it clean. Smart leaders know how to pick their battles without having to wrestle in the mud.
